Clinical and research interests

Dr Mayberry’s clinical post within the MND team in Sheffield is supported by the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). Her role focuses on delivering specialist neuropsychological assessments and interventions.

Dr Mayberry also holds research posts as a ScHARR Clinical Research Academy Fellow and SITraN Honorary Research Associate.

Dr Mayberry’s clinical and research interests focus on improving psychological support for people with MND, their family members, and for MND healthcare professionals. This includes identification of cognitive, behavioural, and emotional support needs, as well as interventions to improve quality of life (particularly Acceptance and commitment therapy).
